The entire book is concerned with generating geography, settlements, historical hooks, and colorful Princes to oppose, work for, or replace. You remember the interesting political setup with 3 well detailed Princes and the ancient menaces stirring in their lands in Lure of the Liche Lord? Renegade Crowns is about making that setup for yourself, for your own small campaign setting. Because Renegade Crowns isn't about a pre-existing subsetting, it's about making your own. You see, where there would normally be a half a book of intriguing and detailed fluff and history about the culture in question in a Warhams 2e book, that isn't here this time. Unlike WHFRPC, I don't actually think it deserves this, but I see why it happened. So, Renegade Crowns is consistently one of the lowest rated books for Warhammer Fantasy as a line when you look at reviews in the wider world, right next to Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay Companion.
